Introducing our large maple dining table. A bold and beautiful piece that’s sure to make a statement in any dining room.
Crafted from maple, this table boasts a unique ripple effect on its surface that’s only enhanced by the ebonising process. This transforms the wood’s warm red tones to a cool and sophisticated grey. And the best part? This subtle feature isn’t the only thing that sets this table apart.
The super sturdy sled base is the perfect complement to the rich, natural texture of the wood. With its clean lines and bold angles, it’s a design feature in its own right that elevates this dining table to a whole new level of modern sophistication. The brushed stainless steel divide adds just the right amount of detail without overpowering the beauty of the wood.
Don’t let the sleek and stylish design fool you – this table is built to withstand even the heaviest use. Whether you’re hosting a large gathering or simply enjoying a family dinner, you can rest assured that this dining table will provide the perfect backdrop for all your culinary adventures.
100% Hardwood: Embrace the natural beauty and sustainability of solid wood with our exquisite furniture pieces. Not only does timber exude beauty, it’s also a living material that adds warmth and character to your home.
Artisanship: Each piece of furniture is built by hand at our atelier in France, using traditional techniques that ensure strength and longevity.
Repairability: We take pride in our commitment to sustainability and longevity. Our furniture is designed with repairability in mind, ensuring that it can be easily restored if needed. This means that you can enjoy your table for years to come, with the knowledge that it can be restored to its original beauty if necessary.
NO Composite Materials: We never use composite materials like MDF or chipboard in our designs, ensuring that our furniture is of the highest quality and durability. Our commitment to sustainability extends to our design process, with a focus on minimising emissions and maximising the reuse of offcuts.
Provenance: Our wood is FSC-certified, meaning that it comes from responsibly and sustainably managed forests that prioritise biodiversity, social responsibility, and economic benefit. When you choose our large maple dining table, you’re not just investing in style and quality – you’re also making a responsible choice for the environment.
Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth to dust the surface of the table regularly to prevent dirt and dust build-up.
Cleaning: If the surface of the table needs to be cleaned, use a gentle cleaner designed for use on acrylic-coated surfaces. Be sure to avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cloths as these can damage the finish on your dining table.
Sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause the colour of the furniture to fade over time. If possible, place the furniture away from windows or use curtains or blinds to block direct sunlight.
Moisture: Moisture can be problematic if left to linger on the tabletop. If any food or liquid gets split directly onto the surface, clean immediately.
Heat: Avoid placing hot objects, such as pots and pans, directly on the surface of the table. Use trivets or placemats to protect the surface from heat damage. When planning the location of your table, consider placing your table 1-2 meters away from a heat source such as a radiator or fireplace.
Handle With Care: Please be warned, these tables are very heavy. If you are planning to move your table, be sure to lift it rather than dragging it across the floor and make sure you have a few extra sets of hands to help. This will help to prevent scratches and other damage to the surface or floors.
Storage: If the table is going to be stored for an extended period of time, cover it with a clean, soft cloth to protect it from dust and scratches.
Shipping: All our furniture comes with free delivery and installation.
Scheduling: Once your large maple dining table build is complete, we will schedule a delivery time that is convenient for you.
Accessibility: Please ensure that the delivery location is easily accessible and that there is enough room for our delivery team to manoeuvre the table into the desired location. If there are any potential obstacles, such as stairs or tight turns, please let us know in advance so that we can prepare accordingly.
Installation: Our delivery team will be responsible for both delivering and installing your L’Atelier Mata table. They have been trained to handle heavyweight furniture with care and to ensure a safe and professional installation. The Timber In Our Large Maple Dining Table
Canadian Maple
Maple is a luxurious and versatile hardwood that is much loved for its durability and beauty. At L’Atelier Mata, we carefully select only the finest boards for our dining tables. With its smooth, pale appearance, maple provides a classic and timeless look that complements any interior style.
The tone of maple ranges from creamy white to pale yellow, with some boards having a hint of red or brown. The natural grain pattern is subtle, featuring delicate lines that flow gracefully throughout the wood, creating a sense of fluidity and movement. It can also have a wavy or curly pattern, which gives it a subtle shimmer when viewed from different angles. It creates a dining table that is warm and inviting and silky smooth to the touch.
At L’Atelier Mata we love to play around with maple. We use a unique ebonising technique to transform our maple dining tables into pieces of art.
The Table Base
Sled Base | Matt Black
Presenting our sled table base. It boasts clean, sleek lines and bold angles that lend a modern and edgy vibe to any space. The sturdy steel construction ensures durability and stability, while the matt black finish provides a touch of refinement. The base’s sharp and defined lines give it a striking presence, making it the perfect accompaniment to our Large Maple Dining Table.
At L’Atelier Mata, we genuinely love this table base as it adds a touch of industrial flair whilst also exuding a sleek aesthetic – equilibrium is a wonderful thing.
Our Philosophy
At L’Atelier Mata, we are passionate about what we do and we take great pride in crafting each piece of furniture by hand. Our hunt for unique and exceptional boards of timber takes us across Europe & the UK, enabling us to create bespoke dining tables, coffee tables, mirrors, mantles and many more one-of-a-kind pieces.
We believe in the power of visual simplicity. With over 15 years of experience, we have honed our skills to focus on strong lines, perfect proportions and powerful detail. These elements have the ability to bring out the inherent beauty of raw timber. We are inspired by classical form and the idea that “less is more”- this allows us to create dining tables that have a timeless, elemental character. With meticulous attention to detail at every stage of the design and manufacturing process, we ensure that every piece is perfect before it leaves our atelier.
Our team has been working together for almost two decades, giving us a wealth of knowledge and a deep sense of pride in our work. Whether it’s a residential or commercial project, we deliver on budget, on schedule, and with utmost precision.
